President Obama Capatilizes on Abortionist's Murder

George Tiller gets killed by a murderer. It happens that Tiller was also an abortion doctor who focused on children just before birth. Late-term abortions -- very controversial even among the most ardent of pro-choice believers -- are what Tiller did best.

President Obama recognized that this will given him an added edge promoting his own prochoice beliefs through the press. While he no doubt realizes the murder is wrong on every level, this will help him look on the ball regarding his Supreme Court choice. Strangely helpful timing.

Predictable Sonia Sotomayor is Obama's Supreme Court nominee

No surprise here. President Obama stuck to his promise to choose a justice based less on legal prowess, and more on empathy. She's no legal hack, but she also will appeal voters interested in gender and racial issues. As a woman and a Latina, she is one-stop shopping for the diversification crowd.

The media appeal is fantastic. Few people know anything about her, and the usual choosing of a justice based on abortion views is still at play. Obama, naturally, was unwilling to choose a prolife justice, and likewise, was only willing to choose a prochoice one. Here, he gets everything he wants.

Will she be confirmed?

Barack Obama Pays for Abortions

How is he paying for abortion? Today, he decided it was OK for abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood to get money from the government.

"President Obama signed an executive order Friday striking down a rule prohibiting U.S. money from funding international family planning groups that promote abortion or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion services."

One group said abortion is "about basic health care and well-being for women and children." Which children? No one thinks this includes the health of young girls who are victims of abortion.

Noise: Obama's next pastor controversy - at inauguration

Who will be the most suspicious of this decision?

Will it be Evangelicals and other morally conservative Christians who know Barack Obama is extremely prochoice and generally pro-gay marriage. They know Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church, is not.

Or liberals, Christian and otherwise, who prefer to think of Obama as one of theirs?

Who will cringe at this proverbial reaching over the aisle the most?

All just noise.

Barack Obama Goes Pro-War, Pro-Life, and Tells Gays They Aren't Welcome

Barack Obama worries the left. They are now wishing they voted in hype-liberal John McCain, a man they know can be counted on to support causes popular with the Cindy Sheehan crowd. After all, John married a woman named 'Cindy', so it makes sense what Cindys wants, Cindys get. Planned Parenthood too, is worried business will drop. Fewer abortions in a tough economy means less money in the bank, and ---

Waittaminnut.

Barack Obama supports abortion, not the war, and, by all accounts is the most liberal president-elect ever. Yet, he is taking heat from liberals?

Smells fishy.

Obama worries liberals
Barack Obama's Cabinet moves and policy choices are drawing fire from the left.
» 'Cause for concern'
Liberals are growing increasingly nervous – and some just flat-out angry – that President-elect Barack Obama seems to be stiffing them on Cabinet jobs and policy choices.

Obama has reversed pledges to immediately repeal tax cuts for the wealthy and take on Big Oil. He’s hedged his call for a quick drawdown in Iraq. And he’s stocking his White House with anything but stalwarts of the left.

Abortion Group Endorses Obama

NARAL Pro-Choice America endorses Obama

NARAL believes Barack Obama will better serve the pro-abortion community than John McCain. Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, says her group has always considered McCain pro-life as well.

NARAL, of course, was founded as National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws by Bernard Nathanson and others. Their single agenda: abortion will be freely available to all women, all ages, no questions asked. It is, for them, a medical procedure, not the killing of human life.

Bernard Nathanson, like Sandra Cano ("Mary Doe") and Norma L. McCorvey ("Jane Roe"), is now a vocal pro-life activist, convinced that his efforts were based on misinformation, "I confess that I knew the figures were totally false, and I suppose the others did too if they stopped to think of it."
