Here's Mud in Yer Eye: Obama's Campaign Touts Ethical Superiority Over Clinton

Here's mud in yer eye. What looks like at first an extension of the presumed Hollywood spat (Who loves you babe?) is really just the beginning of an 12-round bout. It might even be set up so that there would be talk about the two mud-slugging candidates, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Otherwise, it is all Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears in the news. Do you really want to think about a dead drugged-up has-been reality star and a drunk and bald has-been pop star? Tragedies both, circuses both. With politics we get civil discussion.

Take, for example, what Forbes quoted Obama communications director Robert Gibbs saying,
"It is ironic that the Clintons had no problem with David Geffen when he was raising them $18 million and sleeping at their invitation in the Lincoln bedroom."

Obama is quoted in Yahoo about Hillary Clinton
"Senator, I think you're an able colleague, and an important leader of our Party. But let's recall that your "experience" hasn't helped you when you needed it most: In dealing with the most important domestic issue of our time, and the most important foreign policy issue of our time. When in President's Clinton's White House, you headed the administration's botched effort to bring all Americans national health insurance--that set back that project for 15 years. And, when faced with the fateful decision as to whether to give President Bush the authority to go to war against Iraq, you voted to do so. Senators can make those kinds of mistakes every so often, but I don't think the American people can afford to risk putting you and your "experience" in the Oval Office."

Looks like an ethics charge that I would have expected from Rush Limbaugh.

What might result in these two media heavyweights will be the same after the Rocky Balboa v Apollo Creed bout. One will win the primary, but will be to exhausted and too bloodied up to be good for much afterwards.

I say they are just sparring.
